Give your Lemonades persistent memory with the Brain feature

## Why Memory Matters

Your LaunchLemonade Lemonades get smarter and more helpful when they remember key facts about you, your brand, and your work. Good memory means fewer repeats, faster results, and a more personal experience.

## Understanding Brain vs Knowledge

LaunchLemonade has two ways to give your Lemonades information:

## Setting Up Your Brain

The Brain feature lets you organize your knowledge into separate contexts that any Lemonade can access.

### Accessing the Brain

### Creating Multiple Brains

You can organize your knowledge into separate brains for different contexts:

* Click **"+ Add New Brain"** to create a new brain
* Each brain has its own tab (e.g., "Dyslexic", "test")
* Switch between brains by clicking on their tabs

### Adding Memory to a Brain

Simply type or paste information into the text area. Each brain stores its own memories and information, helping you keep different contexts separate and organized.

### Linking Brain to a Lemonade

Want your Lemonade to remember every chat automatically?

## Saving Individual Insights

During any chat, you can save specific responses to memory:

1. Find a response you want to save
2. Click the **brain 🧠 icon** below the response
3. The insight is saved directly to that Lemonade's memory

This is perfect for keeping important decisions, facts, or answers without enabling full conversation memory.

## What Makes Good Memory Content?

For best results, focus on core facts, preferences, and principles:

### About You (the User)

* Your name and how to pronounce it
* Your role and goals
* Your top priorities for the next 3 months
* How you like to receive info (e.g., "Summarise in bullet points")
* Your preferred working style or communication tone

### About Your Brand or Business

* Mission and vision statement
* Your brand values or voice (e.g., "We're playful but always professional")
* Key products or services (with short descriptions)
* Ideal customer or audience (with examples)
* Taglines or slogans

* Step-by-step checklists you use often
* Templates for reports, emails, or documents

## Why Create a Mix?

You've built a Lemonade that works perfectly. Now what? A Mix is how you share it with the world - whether that's adding it to your website, selling subscriptions, or connecting it as a team tool.

Think of it as taking your Lemonade off the shelf and putting it somewhere people can actually use it, with your branding front and center.

## What is a Mix?

When you're ready to share your Lemonade with the world, you create a Mix. Think of it as packaging your Lemonade with your branding - ready to embed on your website or sell to customers.

A Mix lets you:

* Add it as a **Chatbot** on your website
* **Monetize** it by selling subscriptions
* Connect it as a **Team** tool

The key word is "whitelabeling" - that means your logo, your colors, your domain. Not ours!

## Accessing Mixes

Click **Mixes** in the top navigation bar to see all your Mixes.

Each Mix shows:

* Mix name and type (e.g., "Business Mix")

## Creating a Mix

### From the Mixes Page

## Editing a Mix

Click the **Edit** button next to any Mix to:

* Change the Mix name
* Update branding (colors, logo)
* Modify which Lemonades are included
* Get the embed code
* Configure subscription settings

## Getting Your Embed Code

Once you've created an Embed Mix:

**Polish your instructions** - Remember, users will interact with your Lemonade directly. Make sure your system prompt is clear and helpful.

**Watch your usage** - Check the chat count on your Mixes regularly to understand how people are using it.

* Make sure your API token is valid and included in the headers for authentication.

Access and manage your conversation history with all your Lemonades

## Overview

Ever wish you could pick up a conversation where you left off? The History page saves all your chats with your Lemonades - so you can review past answers, learn from previous sessions, and continue conversations anytime.

## What You Can Do Here

* **Search** through all your past conversations
* **Review** what your Lemonade said and how it handled questions
* **Continue** any conversation right where it ended
* **Export** conversations for your records or training

## Accessing History

Each conversation entry shows:

Use the search bar to find specific conversations by:

* Keywords in messages
* Lemonade name
* Date range

### Continue a Conversation

Click on any conversation to:

1. View the full chat history
2. Continue where you left off
3. Copy important information

## History vs Memory

Quick clarification: History is for you to review past chats. But your Lemonade won't automatically remember these conversations unless you turn on "Remember All Conversations" in the Add On tab.

Think of it this way: **History is your diary, Memory is your Lemonade's diary.**

## Why Knowledge Matters

Want your Lemonade to know YOUR business? The Knowledge tab is where you share your documents, websites, and data - so your AI can give answers specific to you, not generic internet responses.

Good knowledge makes your Lemonade smarter, more accurate, and genuinely helpful for your unique needs.

## For Best Results

**Start small** - A few focused documents work better than uploading everything at once. You can always add more later!

**Keep it fresh** - Update files when information changes. Old knowledge can lead to outdated answers.

**Remove duplicates** - Don't upload the same content multiple ways. Your AI will get confused if it sees contradicting information.

**Use clear names** - Name files descriptively so you know what's uploaded at a glance.

**Quality over quantity** - 10 well-organized pages beat 100 poorly structured ones.

### Content Quality Tips

* **Clean formatting** – Remove unnecessary headers/footers before uploading
* **Structured content** – Use headings and sections to help your AI understand the organization
* **Accurate information** – Verify facts before uploading
* **Plain language** – Avoid unnecessary jargon (unless your use case requires it)

### What NOT to Upload

* Sensitive personal data (unless necessary and secure)
* Copyrighted content you don't have rights to
* Outdated information
* Duplicate content in different formats

## Managing Knowledge

### View Uploaded Content

See all your uploaded files and websites in the Knowledge tab:

* File names and types
* Upload dates
* Processing status

### Delete Content

Remove outdated or irrelevant knowledge:

1. Find the file/website in your list
2. Click the delete icon
3. Confirm deletion

  Deleting knowledge affects how your Lemonade responds immediately. Test after removing content to make sure your AI still has the information it needs.

## Troubleshooting

### File Won't Upload

* Check file size (max 25MB)
* Verify file format is supported
* Try a different browser
* Contact support if issues persist

### Website Won't Crawl

* Verify the URL is accessible
* Check if the site allows crawling
* Try a specific page instead of the homepage
* Ensure HTTPS is used

### Knowledge Not Being Used

* Verify the file/website processed successfully
* Check that your Instructions reference the knowledge
* Ask questions directly related to the uploaded content
* Re-upload if necessary

## Your Control Center

The Lemonade Editor is your control center - where you shape your AI's personality, knowledge, and superpowers. Let's walk through each section so you know exactly what's possible.

Think of the Editor as your AI workshop. You have 7 tabs on the left side, each handling a different part of your Lemonade. Plus, there's a **"Run Lemonade"** button in the top right to test everything as you go.

The first message sent when someone starts a chat.

## Saving Your Work

## Deleting a Lemonade

To delete a Lemonade:

1. Click the **trash icon** (🗑️) next to the Lemonade name
2. Confirm deletion

Find your way around LaunchLemonade

## Your Quick Tour

New to LaunchLemonade? Here's a quick tour of where everything lives - so you always know where to click.

Think of this as your friend showing you around on day one!

## Main Navigation

LaunchLemonade's navigation bar is at the top of the screen:

**Lemonades** - This is home base! See all your AI tools in one place, create new ones, and click into any Lemonade to edit it.

**Mixes** - Ready to share? This is where you package your Lemonades for websites and customers.

**Marketplace** - We're working on this but some of our agents can be triggered here!

**History** - View all your chat conversations - both your test chats and messages from users.

**Profile & Billing** - Your account settings, billing, API keys, and Brain setup.

## Your First 3 Actions (New Users)

Just getting started? Do these three things first:

1. **Create your first Lemonade:** Click **"+ NEW"** in the top right
2. **Add some knowledge:** Click the **Knowledge** tab and upload a document
3. **Test it:** Click **"Run Lemonade"** and try a conversation

Once you've done that, everything else will make way more sense!

## Lemonades (Dashboard)

The main dashboard shows all your Lemonades in a card grid.

### Dashboard Features

* **Welcome message** – Personalized greeting at the top
* **Search bar** – Find Lemonades by name
* **Filter tabs:**
  * **All** – Show everything
  * **Customer Support** – Filter by category
  * **Your Lemonades** – Only your Chat Lemonades
  * **Your Agents** – Only your Lemonade Agents
* **+ NEW button** – Create a new Lemonade (you'll use this a lot!)
* **TEMPLATES button** – Browse ready-made templates

### Lemonade Cards

Each card shows:

* Lemonade icon/avatar
* Name
* Type badge (Chat or Agent)
* Click to open and edit

## Mixes

The Mixes page shows your deployable packages.

Each Mix displays:

* Name and type
* Chat count
* **Upgrade** and **Edit** buttons

Click **"+ CREATE MIX"** to create a new Mix.

## Marketplace

Browse pre-built Lemonade templates organised by category:

* **Assistant** – General purpose assistants
* **Customer Support** – Support bots and tools
* **Finance & Accounting** – Financial AI tools
* **Marketing** – Content and marketing helpers
* And more...

Click **"Add"** on any template to create a Lemonade from it.

## History

View all conversations across your Lemonades.

## Lemonade Editor Navigation

When editing a Lemonade, you'll see 7 tabs:

**Model** - Choose your AI model (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)

**Guide** - A helpful checklist of what your Lemonade needs to work well

**Instructions** - Set your welcome message and system prompt (the most important tab!)

**Knowledge** - Add files, websites, and integrations to teach your Lemonade

**Details** - Name, description, Brain connection, and styling options

**Add On** - Enable search, file uploads, and conversation memory

**Deploy** - Email setup, embed codes, and monetization options

Plus the **"Run Lemonade"** button to test your creation - you'll click this a lot while building!

Start building awesome Lemonades in minutes.

## Let's Get Started!

In the next 5 minutes, you'll create your first AI tool. No coding required - just a few clicks and you're ready to go.

## Step 1: Sign Up

Head to [sip.launchlemonade.app](https://sip.launchlemonade.app) and create your free account.

## Step 2: Create Your First Lemonade

Once on the dashboard, click the **"+ NEW"** button in the top right corner.

You'll see a popup asking you to:

1. **Give your Lemonade a name** (e.g., "Meal Advisor", "Coaching CoPilot", "AI CFO")
2. **Select the type of Lemonade**

### Lemonade Types

Don't worry about choosing the "perfect" type - you can always create more Lemonades later. For your first one, we recommend Chat Lemonade.

## Step 3: Configure Your Lemonade

After creating, you'll enter the **Lemonade Editor** with 7 tabs:

### Model Tab

Choose your AI model. We offer:

**Free Models** (no credit card required):

* **Auto Routing** – We automatically select the best model for you
* **Gemini 2.5 Flash** – by Google - Strong for lots of tasks, fast too!
* **GPT-4o Mini** – by OpenAI - Solid all rounder, the one who started this all
* **Minimax-m1** – by Mistral - Mixture of Expert model, super fast

**Recommended Premium Models** (best balance of performance, reliability, and cost):

* **Claude Sonnet/Opus** – by Anthropic - Advanced Claude model with superior reasoning
* **GPT** – by OpenAI - Broad capability, strong with structured outputs
* **Kimi K2 Thinking** – by MoonshotAI - Optimised for coding, math, and deterministic tasks
* **Gemini** – by Google - Large context windows, strong all rounder

### Guide Tab

A helpful checklist showing what your Lemonade needs:

**Mandatory (3 items):**

* ✅ Connected to a Model
* ✅ Has an Instruction
* ✅ Has a Welcome message

**Optional upgrades:**

* Add files to enhance knowledge
* Add website or links to fine tune

### Instructions Tab

Configure how your Lemonade behaves:

* **Welcome Message** – The first message sent to users. Use `{first_name}` to personalize!
  * Example: "Hello , how can I help you today?"
* **Instructions** – This is where you tell your AI who it is and how to behave. Think of it like giving a new employee their job description.
  * Example: "You are a helpful customer support assistant for \[Company Name]..."

### Knowledge Tab

Train your Lemonade with your own data:

* **Add Files** – Upload PDFs, documents, spreadsheets to teach your Lemonade
* **Add Websites** – Crawl and learn from any website
* **Integrations:**
  * Notion – Connect your Notion workspace
  * Google Drive – Connect your Drive files

### Details Tab

Customize your Lemonade:

* **Lemonade Name** – Give it a memorable name
* **Brain** – Select which Brain (memory context) to use
* **Lemonade Description** – Describe what it does (useful for selling)
* **Lemonade Style** – Choose a visual style/avatar

### Add On Tab

Enable powerful features:

1. **Email Assistant** – Email your Lemonade directly from your inbox
   * Get a custom @ai.launchlemonade.app email address
   * Save to Gmail or Outlook with one click

2. **Website Chatbot** – Embed on your website ([contact us](https://launchlemonade.app/pricing/))
   * Click "CREATE EMBED MIX" to get started

3. **Monetise** – Sell your Lemonade on your domain ([contact us](https://launchlemonade.app/pricing/))
   * Click "CREATE SUBSCRIPTION MIX"

## Step 4: Test Your Lemonade

You did it! Click **"Run Lemonade"** in the top right to start chatting with your brand new AI. Try asking it a question and watch it respond using your instructions.

## Step 5: Share & Deploy

Once you're happy with your Lemonade:

* Use the **Deploy** tab to set up email, embed, or subscription options
* Create a **Mix** to package and brand your Lemonade for deployment
